This complete air filter upgrade kit is designed to easily convert your Kawasaki FR series engine to the superior FX canister-style air cleaner, offering enhanced air filtration and extended engine lifespan. It replaces the original air filter part number 11013-0752.

This kit is not compatible with the FR541V or FR600V engines - we currently do not offer a kit for the smaller engines.

* If you have a Cub Cadet or Ariens mower with a bar above the engine, THIS KIT WILL NOT FIT. You can read the reviews below to see what modifications some customers did to make it work, but this will not be a direct bolt on fit.
No issues dealing with the steel bar over the Cub Cadet engine. Put mounting bracket in a vice and bent the top towards the rear (rear of mower) an inch or so and everything cleared nicely, shortened the long hose going from carb to air cleaner in order to have a smoother air flow bend. Used the original 90 degree intake hose on the new intake hat/cap to get clearance from bar. I am choosing not to cut a hole in the factory air cleaner cover in order to minimize any engine warranty issues from the dealer. Once out of warranty I'll cut it and install for a more finished look. Overall, very pleased with the kit.
Product was as advertised and in great shape. Instructions were very clear and had it on in less that 30 minutes. Have mowed 2 and1/2 acres since and worked without any kind of problem. Engine ran smoother than before the upgrade.

I purchased this kit for my new Gravely ZT HD mower. I installed the air cleaner in just a few minutes only having to cut down the hose an inch so that it wouldn't kink.
I like that it offers more filtration surface area and double filtration. I believe this will give my Kawasaki FR engine longer life as well as better protection. I also added the filter minder which is a nice thing to have.
You cannot go wrong upgrading to the Donaldson air cleaner. There's a reason they use them on many of the commercial mowers.

Perfect upgrade for the Hd60
Fx filter has more protection than the Fr style.
Clamps are cheesey, screw fell out of one before I could get the barrel mounted.
Glad it didn't go in carb throat.
Still a good upgrade.
Uses original Kawasaki filters.

Ref: FR651R kit. The filter cap's vanes are straight. There is no vortex, nor centrifugal force to throw dirt debris out before hitting the filter elements. It is simply an inlet cap. Will be asking for refund in totality. Have operated heavy equipment for decades and I know filters.
Hey Dan, so you are unhappy with the dust cap? The 'vortex effect' happens inside of the canister itself. Larger particles and debris are ejected from the rubber 'ejector valve' located on the end of the canister. If you hold your hand over that valve while the engine is running, you can feel the air being pushed out by the vortex design. These are OEM Donaldson parts. Donaldson has been in the air filter game for a long time, I'm pretty sure they know what they are doing. I hope this helps provide some clarification on how this air filtration system works.
